All components that contact the sludge are manufactured from corrosion resistant alloys and high grade stainless steel so that the machine survives the acidic and alkaline pH swings typical of batch treatment plants. The bowl and conveyor are protected against abrasion by the fine metal particles present in the sludge, and the feed zone is designed to introduce the sludge gently, preserving the floc structure formed by the polymer.
